Mitral valve and semilunar valve

Open in App
Solution

In heart, each mitral valve contains two cusps and does not allow the blood to escape from the ventricle into the corresponding atrium. Whereas each semilunar valve contains three cusps and allows blood to enter the great artery from the ventricle, but prevents its flow in the reverse direction.
