There is nothing like molecule of compound and molecule of element

A molecule is the smallest particle in a chemical element or compound that has the chemical properties of that element or compound. Molecules are made up of atom s that are held together by chemical bonds. These bonds form as a result of the sharing or exchange of electron s among atoms.


The difference between compound and element is given below:
Element Compound
An element consists of the same kind of atom. Compounds are formed when two or more elements combine chemically in a fixed proportion.
The smallest particle of an element is an atom. The smallest particle of a compound is a molecule.
All the particles of an element have similar properties. The properties of compounds may or may not be similar to their constituents.
