Open in App
Solution

Monohybrid

Dihybrid

1.The genetic cross that is meant to study only the inheritance of a single character trait is called a monohybrid cross.

1. If the study of multiple character traits is involved, it is termed a Dihybrid cross.

2.For example:If the inheritance of only the height (tall or dwarf) of the offspring in the F1 generation is studied, it is a monohybrid cross.

2. For example: If both the height (tall or dwarf) and the type of seed are studied (round or wrinkled) simultaneously, it is a dihybrid cross.
