The difference between movement and locomotion are as follows:

Movement Locomotion
i) Movement can happen with or without moving away from an organism's original postition. i) The ability to move from one place to another is known as locomotion.
ii) Movement can either be voluntary or involuntary. ii) Locomotion is always voluntary.
iii) Movement takes place at biological level. iii) Locomotion takes place at organism level.
Example : Playing the piano, Breathing. Example : Running, Swimming, Walking.
