Nucleoside Nucleotide
1 A nucleoside is a compound formed by the union of a nitrogen base with a pentose sugar. A nucleotide is a compound formed by the union of a nitrogen base, a nitrogen sugar and phosphate.
2 It is a component of nucleotide. A nucleotide is formed through phosphorylation of nucleotide,
3 It is slightly basic in nature. A nucleotide is acidic in nature.
4 Example - Adenosine. Example: - Adenylic acid.
