Differentiate between periodic and non-periodic changes.
Differences between periodic and non-periodic changes are as follows-
Periodic changes | Non-periodic changes |
Periodic changes are the changes which repeats itself after a regular interval of time. | Non-periodic changes are the changes which does not repeats itself after a regular interval of time. |
For example, Occurrence of the full moon, Pendulum of a clock, Rotation of earth around the sun. | For example, Earthquakes, Germination of a seed etc. |
Earth rotates around the sun in fixed orbit with fixed time period i.e 1 year (365 days and 4 hours) to complete one revolution around the sun. | Germination of seed is not a periodic change because once it is germinated, it cannot be reversed back to a seed . |
