Differentiate between periodic and non-periodic motions by giving an example of each.

Periodic Motion: The motion which gets repeated after regular intervals of time is called periodic motion.
Example: in a clock the second hand takes 60sec to complete one revolution and this motion repeats after every 60sec.

Non - Periodic Motion: The motion which does not repeat itself after a regular interval of time is called non-periodic motion. Example: motion of tides in the sea
