Solution
Photomorphogenesis:
Photomorphogenesis is the development of plant structure and form mediated by the presence of light. This kind of growth requires the presence of light only for a brief period of time. Here, light is not used as a source of energy, unlike photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis:
It is the process by which plants convert light to chemical energy which can later be used as an energy source. Here CO2 is absorbed and O2 is released by the plant. The light is required for a long period of time to efficiently convert it to chemical energy. Therefore, light is used as a source of energy, unlike photomorphogenesis.
