Pressure Group Movement
Pressure groups are well organised and have strong organisation.They consist of people with common occupation,interest,aspirations or opinions. Unlike pressure groups, movement groups have loose organisation, and their decision making is more informal and flexible.
Pressure groups usually influence government policies regarding specific issue within a limited time frame. Movements are usually long-term and involve more than one issue.
The pressure groups act for the betterment of their members and society. They don’t heavily depend on spontaneous mass participation. iii) Movements usually act for the betterment of the society at large. They heavily depend on spontaneous mass participation.
Example- BAMCEF (Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation) Example- Environmental Movement, Women’s Rights Movement.
