Differentiate between primary cell and secondary cell
Primary cell | Secondary cell |
A dry cell or primary cell is a type of chemical cell used in form of batteries | Secondary cell is number of primary cells connected in series to form a battery |
The chemical reactions in the primary cell are irreversible | Chemical reactions are reversible in secondary cell |
It cant be recharged | They are rechargeable |
Examples of primary cell are Leclanche cell, voltaic cell, daniel cell etc. | Examples of the secondary cell include lead-acid accumulator, nickel-iron accumulator, Edison accumulators |
They are used to operate toys, radios ,bicycle and small tape recorders | Secondary cells are used to operate cars, trucks , automobiles and mobile phones ,cameras ,computers etc |
