Sertoli cells and spermatids

Open in App
Solution

The cells formed from the equatorial division of spermatogonium are called spermatids. Spermatids lie close to the lumen of the seminiferous tubule and develop into spermatozoa. Whereas, sertoli cells provide mechanical support and protection to the developing germ cells and also participate in their nutrition and maturation.
