Spermatogonial cells are the germ cells (produces spermatozoa) produced by the basement membrane of the seminiferous tubules of the testis, whereas sertoli cells are also attached to the basement membrane; but these cells provide mechanical support and protection to the developing germ cells and also participate in their nutrition and maturation.
