  2. Vectors transmit the infection from an infected to a healthy individual.

Infection through the droplet that get thrown in air when an infected person sneezes, coughs or spits. Vectors are the blood sucking arthropods which act as the carrier for the disease causing bacteria or protozoan. Arthropods which can act as vectors are Anopheles mosquito, Aedes mosquito.
Examples- Influenza, measlesExamples- Dengue- Spread by Aedes mosquito, Malaria- Spread by female Anopheles mosquito.
