Differentiate between the following pair of terms:

Platelets
White blood cells (WBC)
The platelets also called thrombocytes, which are oval or round in shape and smallest in size.
The WBC also called leukocytes which are irregular in shape, colourless and lack haemoglobin
The platelets help in the clotting of blood, which prevents excessive blood loss.
The main function of WBCs is to protect the body from disease-causing germs. i.e., provide immunity to the body.
