Solution

Sensory nerves:

Sensory nerves carry information (impulses) from the receptors to the CNS (central nervous system).

Motor nerves:

Motor nervous carry information (impulses) from the CNS to the effector organs.

SENSORY NERVE FIBRE

MOTOR NERVE FIBRE

  1. These nerves contain sensory fibers.
  2. Sensory nerves carry impulses from the receptors of the sense organs to the brain or the spinal cord (CNS).
  3. They are also called afferent nerves.
  4. Example of sensory nerves is the olfactory nerve, optic nerve, etc.
  1. These nerves contain motor fibers.
  2. Motor nerves carry impulses from the brain or spinal cord to the effector organs like muscle or glands.
