Small intestine and large intestine

Small intestine:

Small intestine is a long coiled and folded tube which is about 7 long and 2.5 cm wide.

Large intestine:

Large intestine is a long tube which is 1.5m long and 6.5cm wide.

1.Small intestine is made up of three parts: upper duodenum, middle jejunum and lower ileum.1. Large intestine has three parts namely caecum, colon and rectum.
2. Intestine secrete intestinal juice which contains enzymes like erepsin, maltase, sucrase, and lactase. These enzymes help in digestion of food.2. Large intestine does not secrete any digestive juice.
3. Small intestine is provided with finger-like projections called villi.3. Villi are absent in large intestine
