Himalayan Rivers	Peninsular Rivers
The sources are the glaciers of the Himalayan mountains. The Himalayan rivers are perennial rivers. The catchment area of the Himalayan River is comparatively large.	The source is mainly the peninsular plateau and the central highland. These rivers are not perennial. In other words, they dry up during some parts of the year. The catchment area of the peninsular river is smaller than the Himalayan rivers.
