It is a homogeneous, clear, and transparent mixture in which particles of solute are invisible.It is a heterogeneous, cloudy, and translucent mixture in which particles of solute can be seen with a microscope.
The size of the solute particles is less than 1nm and can not be filtered using filter paper.The size of the solute particles is between (1-1000)nm and can pass through ordinary filter paper but can not pass through ultra filters.
The solution does not show Tyndall effect.The solution shows Tyndall effect in which scattering of light takes place by the solute particles.
For example: Salt or sugar solution in water, glucose in water.For example: Milk, and moisturizing cream.
