Differentiate between wet and dry deposition.
Wet deposition: It refers to acidic water received through rain, fog, and snow.
Dry deposition: It refers to windblown acidic particles and acidic gases in the air that settle down on the ground.

2. Nitric acid and sulphuric acid in the air get dissolved in the rain and form a dilute solution of nitric acid and sulphuric acid respectively and lead to acid rain. | 2. The particles get washed away in the acid rain from trees and other surfaces. |
3. These elements first enter the atmosphere as gases. | 3. These elements enter the atmosphere in the form of dust from mining and industrial activities. |
4. These elements are heavier in comparison to dry deposition. | 4. These particles are light that's why they can move with the wind. |
