Difference between the Supreme Court and the high courts are as follows :

1.Supreme Court is the highest court of justice in the country whereas High Court is the highest court of justice in the state.
2.Supreme Court hears appeals against the decision of the High Court whereas High Court generally hears appeals against the decisions of the lower courts.
3.The judgement given by the Supreme Court is regarded as case law by the High courts and other lower courts.
4.Judges of the Supreme Court hold office till they attain the age of 65 years whereas judges of High Court hold office till they attain the age of 62.
