Dioecious plants - The plants that contain either the male flower or the female flower , but not both on the same plant are called dioecious plants.
Eg. Papaya, Watermelon, Cucumber, Maize etc.

Monoecious plants - The plants that contain both the male as well as the female flowers on the same plant are called monoecious plants.
Eg. Rose, lily, Hibiscus etc.
