Open in App
Solution

Drawing the diagram of the situation:

  1. When a parallel beam of light strikes a surface and gets scattered in all directions after reflection is called diffused reflection.
  2. The particles of the rough surfaces are unevenly distributed as when a parallel ray of light strikes the rough surface it gets scattered in all directions, hence diffused reflection takes place on the rough surface.
