Bright light: Cone cells
Rod cells are extremely sensitive to light and are responsible for vision in dim light. This is called scotopic vision.
Color vision is a function of bright light vision and cone cells are responsible for color perceptions. As it is functional in bright light, this vision is called photopic vision.
