Direction of current flowing through a circular loop decides the face of magnetic pole it behaves like. Clockwise direction behaves as south pole and anti clockwise would behave as north pole of the equivalent magnet. From the given point of view, the sides of coils facing each other should have opposite magnetic polarity in order to gain an attractive force. Hence, both the coils should either have current flow in clockwise or anticlockwise direction.
