Solution

The correct option is B IX
Seven students P, Q, R, S. T, V and W study in standard IV to X. Each of them has their own favourite subject.
T studies in VIII standard and likes Hindi.

T VIII standard Hindi

The one who likes Science studies in X standard.

? Science X standard.
S studies in IV standard.
W like Sanskrit.
P does not study in X standard.
The one who likes Geography studies in V standard.
Q studies in VII standard.

StudentsStandardFavourite subjectsPQVIIREnglishSIVTVIIIHindiVWSanskrit
Their are four sections left and there are V, VI, IX, X.
It is given that,
P does not study in standard X and the one who studies in standard X likes Science.
So, it is clear that V studies in standard X and his favourite Subject is Science.
V Science Standard X
Now, we are left with three standards V, VI, IX
The one who likes Geography studies in standard V, so it is clear that P studies in standard V and studies Geography.
P Geography Standard V
Now, we are left with two standards VI and IX. It is given that, R does not study in either V or IX. So, R studies in standard VI and likes English.
R standard VI English
Now, we are left with only one standard. So it is clear that
W standard IX Sanskrit
Now, we are unclear about the favourite subjects of Q and S.
It is given that Q does not like Mathematics.
So, it is clear that Q likes History and S likes Mathematics.
Now, we arrange the above information and show them in tabular form:-
