Solution

The correct option is D Actinomorphic and epigynous
Helianthus annuus, commonly known as the sunflower is the species of flowering plant belonging to family Asteraceae. In sunflower, the outer or peripheral florets are called ray florets which are zygomorphic and epigynous; whereas the inner or central florets are called disc florets which are actinomorphic and epigynous. In epigynous flowers, the hypanthium is fused to the gynoecium and the free parts of sepals, petals and stamens appear to be attached at the top of the gynoecium and the ovary is inferior.
So, the correct answer is 'Actinomorphic and epigynous'.
