Driving torque on disc,
τdϕ1ϕ2

where ϕ1 is flux produced by current coil and ϕ2 is flux produced by potential coil.

Now, if either PC or CC is wrong by connected, ϕ1 or ϕ2 reverse so driving torque reverses. If both are wrongly connected then,

τD(ϕ1)(ϕ2)

τD direction remains same so disc rotates in same direction.
