Objective: To show the presence of air in an empty bottle
Materials required: An empty glass bottle and a tub of water
Method: Take the empty bottle and open its cap. Now, immerse the bottle in the tub containing water, with its open end inside the water. Tilt the bottle.
Observation: Bubbles at the mouth of the bottle will be observed. This is because when the bottle is tilted, the air inside it comes out in the form of bubbles. Before tilting, the space inside the bottle gets filled with air, but as the bottle is tilted, the air rushes out.
Conclusion: This activity proves that air is present in an empty bottle.
