Khilafat Movement: The Khilafat movement was took place between 1919 to 1924 in India as a protest against the dismantling of the Ottoman Empire and the abolition of the Caliphate who was regarded as the custodian of Islam. It was led by the Ali brothers in alliance with the Non-cooperation movement of the Congress.
