Solution
Walter sutton and Theoder boveri gave a theory known as chromosomal theory of inheritance. They studied chromosomal movements during meiosis and explain mendel,s laws on the basis of there observations. They observed that chromosomes and genes both occur in pairs—two alleles of a gene pair are located on homologous sites of homologous chromosomes.
Sutton and Bovery further proposed that it is the pairing and separation of a pair of chromosomes that ultimately leads to segregation of the pair of factors they carry. This is known as the chromosomal theory of inheritance.
