  • After winter, due to a lack of moisture in the soil, the trees shed their leaves​. The leaves reappear during spring. These are called deciduous forests.​
  • This kind of forest can be seen in areas receiving 60 to 120 centimetres of rainfall annually.​
  • These forests are not very dense, unlike evergreen forests.​
  • These forests are found in Chikkamagaluru, Mysuru, Chamrajnagar, eastern parts of Hassan, and more.​
  • Teak, Kino, Mahogany, Neem, Mango, and others grow in plenty in deciduous forests.​
