Solution:
All the courts at the state level that work under the supervision of the high court are called subordinate courts.
Structure and composition of subordinate courts:
Session’s Judge Court: This is the highest court at the district level.
It is led by a Session’s judge who is sometimes assisted by an additional session’s judge, in case of heavy workload.
These judges are appointed by the Governor of the state upon consultation with the Chief Justice of the state high court.
Subordinate courts: They work under the Session’s Judge Court.
They are headed by a Chief Judicial Magistrate or Judicial Magistrate of first or second class.
Judicial Magistrates are appointed by the Chief Justice of the High Court on the recommendation of the State Public Service Commission.
An advocate with 3 years experience is eligible to become a magistrate after clearing the exam.
