Dear Student,
Three states of matter are: Solid, liquid and gas
Solids: Molecules are strongly bonded with each other. As such, solids have definite shape and occupies a definite volume.
Liquids: Molecules are loosely bonded with each other. As such, they have a definite volume but no definite shape. They can flow.
Gases: No interaction among the molecules. As such. they neither have definite shape nor definite volume. They occupy the volume of the container in which it is contained.
