Its various provisions are–
Every citizen is equal in the eyes of law- A common citizen or a famous politician both will be given the equal treatment before the law.
There will be no discrimination against any citizen on the basis of caste, colour, religion, gender or place of birth.
No citizen can be denied access to public places like malls, temples, shops and parks.
Every citizen gets equal opportunities in matters of public employment.
The practice of untouchability which was discriminatory towards people of lower castes and denied them social interactions has been banned and its practice has been made a punishable offence.
