There are two right triangles ADB and ADC we have
Hyp. AB = Hyp. AC (Given)
AD = AD (Comman side)
So by RHS criterion of congruence
$△ADB\cong △ADC$
BD = DC ( $\because$ Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are equal )
