The distance between two successive compression or rarefaction is the wavelength (λ). So the distance between compression and subsequent rarefaction will be λ/2
Thus, the 1st compression and 5 th rarefaction =4λ+λ/2=9λ2=4.5(20)=90cm as (λ=20cm)
