The plant body is thallus or leafy like and is not differentiated into stem, leaves, and roots.	The plant body is differentiated into stem, leaves, and roots.
The main plant body is gametophytic.	The main plant body is sporophytic.
Sporophyte depends upon gametophyte.	The sporophyte is independent of the gametophyte.
They lack a true vascular system.	They are vascular plants.
Cells in the plant body are haploid. Examples- Liverworts, mosses etc.	Cells in the plant body are diploid. Examples- Ferns, Horsetails, etc.
