Distinguish between Degradable and biodegradable plastic.

Dear Student,

Degradable plastic is the petroleum-based plastic which decomposes into smaller pieces only when it is exposed to light, heat etc. If the degradable plastic buried in the earth or landfill then it will not disintegrate.

Bio degradable plastics are class of plastics which can break down and decompose in nature so they do not accumulate in environment hence prevent the environmental pollution.They are lightweight, durable, cheap and now easily available.
