Distinguish between fundamental units and derived units

The quantities that do not depend on any other physical quantity for their measurements are known as fundamental quantities. There are only 7 physical quantities. And rest of all other quantities are derived quantities. Derived quantities are products and/or ratios of the fundamental quantities that exist in a system of units.
The seven fundamental quantities are :
  1. Mass : Kilogram
  2. Time : Second
  3. Length : Meter
  4. Temperature : Kelvin
  5. Electric current : Ampere
  6. Amount of substance : Mole
  7. Luminous Intensity : Candela
