1. The eye defect in which a person can see distant objects clearly but is unable to see nearby objects distinctly is called Hypermetropia or farsightedness. | 1. As a person gets older, the ciliary muscles holding the eye lens weaken, and the lens loses some of its elasticity. The near point gradually recedes away. This defect is called Presbyopia. |
2. It is caused due to contraction in the size of the eyeball. The eyeball becomes too small. | 2. The eyeball has a normal size. It does not contract. |
