Distinguish between ordinary light and laser light.

The main difference between ordinary light(i.e the light comes from incandescent lamp) and laser light is :

1. Coherence : Ordinary light diverges in all directions whereas the light from laser does not diverge.

2. Monochromaticity: Laser beams are monochromatic (i.e. of single wavelength only) whereas ordinary light is non-monochromataic ( i.e. mixed wavelength is mixture of different colors).
