Quantitative variables are like income, expenditure which can be expressed in numerical terms. On the other hand, qualitative data includes IQ level of different individuals which cannot be expressed in numerical terms. These can be ranked or rated as good, very good, or excellent. Quantitative data refers to the quantitative variable; qualitative data refers to the qualitative attributes of the different objects.
