Distinguish between symptoms and signs of a disease.
Symptoms:
1. They indicate the presence of disease.
2. Symptoms are a collective indication of a number of diseases in a particular part or organ.
3. Unlike signs which are objective, symptoms are subjective as only the person can feel them. For instance, headache, nausea, shivering, body ache, muscles fatigue, and more and all examples of symptoms.
Signs:
1. They provide information about the presence of a particular disease.
2. They are distinct for different diseases.
3. For instance, swelling, bleeding, fractures, all are examples of signs. Thus, signs physically demonstrate a disease that others are able to detect.
