Basis of Difference Middle-level management Lower-level management
Area of work 1. Communicate the plans and policies to the lower levels of management. 1. Get the plans implemented. They get the work done through employees or workers.
Linkage 2. They are a link between the top-level managers and the lower levels. 2. They act as a link between the middle-level managers and the workers/employees.
Plans made 3. Make short-term plans, usually half- yearly or annually. 3. Make very short-term plans, i.e. weekly or monthly.
