Mitosis in Animal cellMitosis in Plant cell
In animal cells, a cleavage furrow appears at the beginning of telophase, which becomes progressively deeper as the spindle breaks down. Eventually, the ingrowing constrictions join and separate two daughter cells. In plant cells, a cell plate is laid down, usually initiated at the center and extends towards the periphery. After the cell plate is laid down, primary walls are formed on either side of the cell plate.
