Pinus wood Cycas wood
Pinus have pycnoxylic wood. Cycas have manoxylic wood.
The wood is hard and compact. The wood is soft and non-compact.
It contains a very little parenchyma. It contains an abundance of parenchyma.
It is made up of more than one cambium ring and high amount of xylem tracheids. It is formed by a persistent cambium ring and less amount of xylem tracheids.
It is commercially useful and yields timber It is commercially useless.
