Dear Student,
Codon is a triplet of adjacent nucleotides in the messenger RNA chain that codes for a specific amino acid in the synthesis of a protein molecule.
An anticodon is a sequence of three nucleotides which form a unit of genetic code in a transfer RNA molecule, equivalent to a complementary codon in messenger RNA.
when codon are present in sets (a set of three), they make up a genetic code. Like AUG codon codes for methionine.
