Solution

During the process of photosynthesis, the light is absorbed by the chlorophyll present in the leaf surface. This absorbed light causes the photolysis of the water molecules into hydrogen, oxygen & free electrons. These free electrons pass through series of acceptor molecules leading to the generation of either ATP or both ATP & NADPH.
