Sum of two parts = 4500

Let first part = x

then second part = 4500 - x

According to the condition,

5% of x = 10% of (4500 - x)

$\Rightarrow \frac{x\times 5}{100}=\frac{(4500-x)\times 10}{100}\Rightarrow 5x=45000-10x\Rightarrow 5x+10x=45000\Rightarrow 15x=45000\therefore x=\frac{45000}{15}=3000$

Hence first part = 3000

and second part = 4500 - 3000

= 1500 Ans.
