Divide 80 into two parts ,so that the greater part is 4 times the smaller

Dear Student...

Let X be the smaller part..

Then greater part = 4X

Now adding the both parts we get 80

Therefore...

X + 4X = 80

Or 5X = 80

Or X = 80/5

X = 16


So smaller part is 16
and greater part is 4×16=64
